chaos

a recent summary of the past month and my sudden absence:

1. show choir: getting into finals, wowing the judges, late bus rides home, sweating my butt off, staying at an interesting hotel, and stopping at many restaurants of all kinds make the tiring rehearsals worth the competitions. a lot of preparation is done in class.

2. writing: my current obsession is my main reason for going on the computer. story ideas have been flooding into my head like a dam's walls being broken down by the waves it holds back. they're all good and i don't want to get rid of any of them.  the hardest part, though, is actually figuring out how to write the story. once i figure it out, i take off from there.

3. spring break conflicts: this week was spring break, and it was filled with a skiing trip, helping dad at work, and just simply being lazy. i haven't had the motivation to draw something in quite a while, though i've had some pretty good sketches lately that i wouldn't mind sharing with the DA community.

4. school: being in an odd musical and making sure all the homework gets done fills up my school nights, and of course i want to write as much as possible.

5. being there for my siblings: because i only have a few years left before i'm off on my own.

so basically, i probably won't ever go on DA that much until summer arrives and i actually have some motivation to draw thanks to being a part of the wonderful drawing class that i've been taking for the past two years. for now, i just need to survive the 10th grade and have some pleasant memories to look back on, because despite everything it's so far been a pretty great year.
